As you can see by the title, this faq is all about which sub weapons you should choose when you get confronted and exposed. When you snipe online, there's going to be times where the enemy is just too close to snipe straight on and you have to choose between quick scoping or switching to your side arm. Quick scoping is a 50/50 chance, and sometimes you're not quick enough when the opponent is spraying you with perfect aim. When the situation calls for it, thats when your side arm shows how reliable it is and how it can compare to the opponent's assault rifles, LMG, and SMG. When you choose your weapon, it's mostly dependent on both the range and how skilled you are with spraying or hitting the opponent with semi automatic weapons.
The Launcher class isn't really going to help with quick short range fire, but the class is good for team player like tactics to take down any kill streaks. The Handgun class holds a good spot for snipers because it's easy to control and quick on the draw for those tough times.
The USP .45 is a good gun for choice since it's very powerful, and it's range is great without losing much power. It's recoil is slightly off, but long range shots are very clean. It infamously does well with the silencer, so you can use it for more stealth, and the tactical knife does wonders for those who like to rush. The akimbo fire is great for killing the opponent real quick, but you'll be greatly giving your position away because of the decent round count and how people shoot more shots than it usually takes. (One to two should be enough)

The .44 Magnum has low recoil and enough power to kill in two to three shots, so when you fire this gun, the reset recoil will automatically put it back on target after a half a sec. It's draw time is real quick like Clint Eastwood, and is almost a primary for sniper types all over. Unfortunately, this gun can't use a silencer so it'll pretty much give you away the moment you fire it, fortunately though it only has six rounds so it won't hurt to fire this gun off. With the akimbo, this gun is horrible at long range, but a major beast at close range. You don't need to click one trigger at a time for this gun, click both triggers and the power will literally blow your opponents back a few feet, if not more. Its power equals the desert eagle and over powers other handguns in its class. Since its recoil time is so low, you can kill some one with two bursts of both triggers and switch back in time to hide again.
I won't really compare FMJ, and extra magazine since we're tying to kill the opponent quickly with minimal noise and no signals.

The M9 is one of the most basic guns and also one of the well rounded, (Like Ryu is street fighter) plus it has the highest magazine capacity of all the handguns giving it a better chance at not running out when needed. It's power is just as great as the USP .45 at close range, but because of the huge sway when using ADS, it's just too difficult to hit a target far off from your position. Using a silencer with this gun does nothing but lower the power of it, that's because even when you shoot with it on you still show up as a red dot, making the attachment useless for this gun. The Akimbo attachment is good since at close range it has power equal to the USP .45, but it still has the problem with range. I'd recommend using only the tactical knife since its great with the gun, but without the silencer and the power, plus the addition of more ammo to give yourself away, just use the USP .45 to save the hassles.

The most hammiest, and overstated gun in this game is the Desert Eagle. It's a famous second to the Barret 50 Cal, and it undoubtedly has enough power to equal the .44 Magnum. It's got power in spades, but ever since COD4, they've kicked up the recoil again and given it a bad habit of going off centered to the right every time you fire. However though, if you can tame the recoil this gun will own most people in a heartbeat with one shot to the head. Unlike COD4, the Desert Eagle can now accept most attachments, unfortunately the silencer is still off limits, so if you have to shoot at close range, you need to do only a few shots before you totally give yourself away. The Tac Knife is the same, but it actually centers the gun a bit for easier control, but it's not too drastic. Akimbo on the DE is just like the .44 Magnum, and just like that gun, you shouldn't alternate the trigger buttons to fire this weapon off. Doing this will cause your aim to scatter like a wild firecracker and hit everything else but the target. A quick burst of the triggers will do just fine.
The next sidearm class is the Machine pistol class, famous for spraying the target into oblivion. These have sights as well as the normal attachments like the other classes.

The first gun is the Glock 18, or the G18, the most spammed sprayer gun in the game. This gun has the highest fire rate of all the guns, (Yes, even more than the LMG class) but it's power is very light compared to other Machine pistols. At close range the gun is deadly, but at long range it's almost harmless because of its very high recoil from spraying all of those bullets. A silencer would be best used because it both makes it clearer to see by muzzling the flash, and it creates no red dot when fired. I still think people with earphones or high volume will still hear you spraying like no tomorrow with that thing clinking all over the place. It can be equipped with the red dot sight for more precision, but like I said, the recoil will still pretty much keep those long range shots to a minimum if you know what I mean. The Tac Knife is the same, so don't expect anything to happen differently. The Holographic sight is just like the Red dot, but then again, it does seem to add a little bit more steadiness to the gun when I use it.
The akimbo attachment on this gun is complete annihilation to any one that tries to get in your vicinity, plus with a smaller cursor while aiming from the hip, it doesn't spray out as much and it even does good damage in medium range combat.
